Stop Child Labour

I use to go to american centre for my study. When I come out of the Barakhamba Metro station I daily see 2 kids sitting in the front of Barakhamba metro station and waiting for some customers whom they can polish their shoes. On 23rd march I complaint about this child labour on the help line number 198 but after a three months still no action is yet taken. I asked both the children about themselves. They told me their ages are 8 and 10 years respectively. And their names are Pintu and vikash. They are basically from Dwarka,Delhi. They both are cousin brothers and their parents are doing the same shoe polishing business. When I asked them about their education they told me we dint get time to go to school. When I asked do you want to go to school then they replied me yes. Their eyes were telling the stories of their pain the kid name pintu,8 years boy was not even able to face my eyes as his eyes were wet at that time. I was really ashamed with this that in a high profile area like Barakhamba these childrens are fighting and compromising with their basic rights and working to get their bread and butter.
My only appeal to you to please take some actions over this. I have informed to child labour helpline number 198 but they dint take any action. Please come forward to stop exploiting the rights of two kids. Its not only the matter of that two kids, many kids like him is facing the same problem. I shall always be remain obliged to you.

Because he belived himself so do we should belive in ourself.,..

4th AUGUST 2009

THIS WAS THE 2ND DAY AND WE WERE PRETTY MUCH CONFIDENT AND EXCITED TO WORK.
WE STARTED OUR DAY AT 9 AM AND FINISHED UP AT 6 PM. THIS SHOWED OUR PASSION.

THIS DAY WE AGAIN VISITED TO THE VILLAGE NAME SHAHBAJPUR WHICH IS AROUND 15 KM FAR AWAY FROM MUZ. WE HAD TO COMPLETE OUR SURVEY TASK ON THIS DAY. BY WHICH WE CAN WORK FURTHER.

SO WE DECIDED TO INVOLVE LOCAL YOUNGSTERS AND PEOPLE ALSO AS THEY ALSO WANTED TO SUPPORT US. WE DID SURVEY OF AROUND 150 PEOPLE ON THIS DAY.

WE WERE HAPPY THAT WE FINALLY FINISHED OUR SURVEY TASK.

NOW WE WILL HAVE TO WORK ON OUR DIFFERENT PHASES WHICH IS MENTIONED EARLIER.
IN THE NIGHT WE FINALLY DECIDED TO PICK FIRSTLY THE SCHOOL PHASE. WHICH WAS EDUCATIONAL BHRAMAN.

3RD AUGUST 2009

THIS WAS A DAY WHICH WE ALL MEMBERS WERE WAITING FOR. WE FIRST WENT TO A TEMPLE PRAY TO GOD AND DISTRIBUTE THEIR I.D. CARD TO ALL THE MEMBERS .

WE ARRANGED 4 BIKES WHICH WE USED IN OUR WHOLE JOURNEY. AS THIS WAS THE VERY FIRST EXPERIENCE FOR ALL THE MEMBERS. WE WERE PRETTY NERVOUS ALSO BUT OUR MOTIVATION WAS HIGHER THAN THE NERVOUSNESS.

WE FINALLY STARTED OUR PLANNED JOURNEY. WE WENT TO KANTI WHICH IS AROUD 10 KM FAR FROM MUZ. IN KANTI WE SURVEYED AROUND 100 PEOPLE ON THE VERY FIRST DAY.

IN THE END WE ALL WERE VERY HAPPY AND EXCITED THAT WE BEAT OUR NERVOUSNESS AND ACTUALLY STARTED TO WORK FOR OUR SOCIETY.

FIRST DAY WAS VERY MUCH LEARNING FOR ALL THE MEMBERS . WE ALL GOT A VERY GUD RESPONSE FROM THE VILLAGERS AND LOCAL PEOPLE. THEY SUPPORT US A LOT IN OUR WORK.

FIRST DAY ENDED WITH A GR8 LEARNING

JOURNEY...

WE STARTED OUR JOURNEY FROM 1st AUGUST 2009 . WE USED TRAIN TO REACH BIHAR FROM NEW DELHI RAILWAY STATION AT 10 AM . WE REACHED BIHAR (MUZAFFARPUR) ON 2ND AUGUST 2009. WE ALL MEMBER FIRSTLY VISITED TO OUR LOCAL MEMBER IN BIHAR AND DISCUSSED WITH THEM ABOUT THE SUKOON PLAN.

WE ALL STAYED AT A LOCAL HOTEL AND FROM NEXT DAY WE START WORKING ON OUR DREAM ....

PREPARATION

WE HAD DIVIDED OUR JOURNEY INTO 4 PHASES IN WHICH ALL THE DIFFERENT PHASES HAD DIFFERENT WORK. WE HAD NAMED OUR JOURNEY AS A "BHRAMAN"
